Edtech giant Byju’s has hit headlines yet again after being named one of the sponsors of the upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.
After securing its unicorn status, now the company will be able to use the FIFA World Cup official logo, mascots, badge, and several other team assets for building unique promotions and distributing them as valuable merchandise to football fans across the globe.
As part of the grand partnership, Byju’s will also be offering educational content for its young fans.
Speaking about the collaboration, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer, Kay Madati, has said that FIFA wants to harness the power of football “towards the goal of enacting positive societal change,” which is why the association is “delighted” to partner with Byju’s.
Madati appreciated that Byju’s is actively “engaging communities and empowering young people wherever they may be in the world.”
The FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled for this year between November 21 and December 18.
Founder & CEO of Byju’s, Byju Raveendran has said that he is “excited” to be sponsoring the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which he lauds as “the biggest single-sport event in the world,”
Further adding on the sponsorship deal, Raveendran said:
“It is a matter of pride to represent India on such a prestigious global stage and champion the integration of education and sport.”
