As per news sources, OnePlus is planning on entering the Indian market with an all new series of budget smartwatch segment. A fresh report from the smartphone manufacturer claims that an affordable smartwatch is in the works and that OnePlus might launch a Nord smartwatch in the coming months.
91Mobiles,in partnership with tipster Yogesh Brar, have suggested that the wearable will debut in India in the second half of 2022, along with the launch of OnePlus Nord 3.
The company is currently selling two fitness bands under Rs 5,000, and with its anticipated new budget collection, it might now be planning to offer an affordable smartwatch to its users. However, this one is proposed to cost way more than the fitness bands and will be priced under Rs 10,000, the sources cited. Another source has claimed that the price could be between Rs 5,000 and Rs 8,000.
The upcoming features and design of the awaited OnePlus Nord Watch are currently unknown. OnePlus has launched only one smartwatch in India so far in the premium price range – the OnePlus Watch priced at Rs 14,999.
The forthcoming OnePlus watch is expected to offer some of the basic features such as heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, step tracking, control music playback mode, etc.
While OnePlus has successfully established itself in India’s audio and smartphones segments, it is yet to make its impact in the wearable segment, which is currently dominated by Xiaomi, Noise, AmazFit, Apple, and Fitbit.
It is reported that with the launch OnePlus Nord smartwatch, the company might have an aim of capturing the customers who can spend less close to Rs 10,000 on a wearable.
