The envoy of the United States in North Korea will reach Seoul next week to attend a meeting with the South Korean diplomats in order to discuss the international response to the North’s recent intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) launches as the State Department has announced.
Sung Kim, the US Special Representative has stated that he is ready to talk anytime and without any kind of special conditions. But Pyongyang has not mentioned anything regarding that matter even though they have accused Washington of maintaining hostile policies and military drills.
For the first time since 2017, North Korea test fired an ICBM last month and the officials of United States and South Korea are saying that they may resume testing out nuclear weapons. During a five day visit Deputy Jung Pak and Kim will meet the South Korean officials including the nuclear envoy Noh Kyu-duk beginning from monday.
